Pablo Palacios is Telecommunications Engineer of the Escuela Politecnica Nacional, Quito-Ecuador and MBA in International Management of the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Umwelt (HfWU), Nürtingen-Geislingen, Germany, and then is completing a Master in the University EcCouncil, USA.
Pablo has about 20-year experience national and international in telecommunications. He worked for six years in several telecommunications companies in Ecuador. Since 2010, Pablo joined the International Telecommunications Union.
Pablo worked three years in Geneva supporting the work of the Study Groups of ITU-T and their meetings. From 2013, Pablo is part of the ITU Team for the Region of America as Programme Officer located in Chile. Pablo is the focal point for the Cybersecurity delivering the projects aligned with the Global Cybersecurity Agenda, Child Online Protection (COP), International Internet Access (IXP), and Emerging Technologies for the America Region.

Pablo Palacios
Pablo Palacios es Ingeniero en Telecomunicaciones cuyos estudios realizó en la Escuela Politecnica Nacional en el Ecuador, posteriormente estudió un MBA en la Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Umwelt (HfWU), Nürtingen-Geislingen, Germany y está completando un Master en Ciberseguridad de la Universidad EcCouncil, USA.
Pablo cuenta con alrededor de 20 años de experiencia nacional e internacional en telecomunicaciones. Trabajó en diferentes instituciones y empresas del Ecuador. Desde el 2010 es parte de la Unión Internacional de Telecomunicaciones.
Pablo trabajó durante tres años en Ginebra aportando a las Comisiones de Estudio de la UIT-T y en sus reuniones. Desde el 2013 es parte del equipo de la UIT de la Región de América. Está ubicado en la Oficina de Área de la UIT en Santiago de Chile donde es punto Focal para América para temas de Ciberseguridad e implementa proyectos alineados con la Agenda Global de Ciberseguridad, Protección de la Infancia en Línea, Interconexión Internacional y tecnologías emergentes para la Región de América.
